Kongsberg EM122 12kHz multibeam echo sounder - Search for deployments and/or events
Description
The EM122 MBES is utilised for full ocean depth seabed mapping. It operates at 12kHz and can be utilised in depths starting from 100m down to full ocean depth. In depths shallower than this the vessel's EM710 can be utilised. The area mapped by the system can be up to 6 times water depth in a single pass delivering a 'swath' up to 30km wide. The system is permanently mounted on the ships gondola. Continuous mapping is carried out by vessel regardless of science objectives unless interference occurs. If selected this system may interfere with other selected acoustic instruments.

A deep-water sea floor mapping system capable of working to full ocean depth.
