Hydro-Bios Mammoth Multinet - Search for deployments and/or events
Description
The Hydro-Bios Multinet platform is towed and controlled by either a conductive cable or wire rope. It holds up to ten nets with mesh sizes of 100, 335, 500μm and can locally or remotely open and close nets at chosen depth intervals or times. It has a full suite of either soft or hard cod ends. The net has a 1m2 mouth area and is used to sample plankton and micronekton in the water column to depths of 6,000 m. Two flow meters monitor water flow and sampling volume and the data can transmitted up the cable and displayed and recorded in real time. It can be deployed in horizontal, oblique or vertical mode.
