Simrad EK60 multi-frequency split-beam echosounder - Search for deployments and/or events
Description
The narrow-band system can operate in 6 frequency bands, from 18-333kHz ( 12kHz,18kHz, 38kHz, 70kHz, 120kHz,200kHz and 333kHz), simultaneously. This system is permanently mounted on the ships drop keel. Where the system is not essential, the sensor will be operated continuously regardless of science objectives unless specifically advised otherwise.
Purpose
The Simrad EK60 is utilised for biomass estimation within the water column.
