Scientific Name Notes:	Rhynchobatus australiae has been confused with R. djiddensis (which is restricted to the western Indian Ocean and Red Sea), R. palpebratus Compagno & Last, 2008 (coded as 37 026004) and Rhynchobatus laevis (an Indo-West Pacific species originally thought to be in Australian waters and coded as 37026003, but now known to be R. australiae).
