| Taxon Notes: | Updated from Etmopterus brachyurus after Ng et al 2025 description. Known only from Western Australia, from off Ledge Point (31 17 S) north to off the Exmouth Peninsula (22 22 S), at depths of 362–610 m. The true E. brachyurus is restricted to the North Pacific (Ng et al 2025). | ||||||||
