Scientific Name Notes:	Last & Stevens (1994) could not confidently assign a species name(s) to the Glyphis recorded from Australia and recorded it as a single species, Glyphis sp A. After re-examination of the holotype of Glyphis glyphis and additional Glyphis specimens, Compagno et al 2008 synonymised Glyphis sp A with Glyphis glyphis, provided a redescription of the species, and described a new species previously referred to as Glyphis sp C (see 37 018042).
