Scientific Name Notes:The name Alona davidi iheringi Richard, 1897 was erected for a South American record and was later synonymised with Alona davidi, and that species transferred to Leberis. It should not be confused with Alona iheringi Sars, 1901 (now Leberis iheringula), which is a distinct South American species. See Kotov & Sinev (2004) Arthropoda Selecta 13(3):95-98.
