Taxon Notes: | This taxon was originally described in Marginaster (Poraniidae) but is now placed in Patiriella (Asterinidae). It was described from material from the Derwent River, Hobart - this population has ceased to exist and it has not been rediscovered since. Due to environmental changes in this area, it is highly likely that this species is now extinct. | ||||
