Taxon Notes: | This is the benthic form with longitudinal grey/brown to black lines interrupted by blue-centred eyspots. This was previously considered to be a pantropical species, but recent genetic work has shown it to be a species complex, and this name is now restricted to the Indo-Pacific species, the Atlantic and eastern Pacific species are now regarded as distinct. | ||
