Taxon Notes:	Marshall & Spencer (2013) regard Semele brambleyae as an adventive New Zealand record of the Chinese species S. vestalis, which they regard as distinct from S. carnicolor. It is very likely that the NZ specimen was transported in ballast water. No other specimens have ever been found in NZ.
