Taxon Notes: | This species was originally described from the Mediterranean, and while it has been widely recorded from most oceans, it is likely that many of these records actually refer to other species. Most records from Australia actually refer to Leodice australis, others are in poor condition and cannot be identified with certainty. It is unlikely that this species occurs in Australia or New Zealand. See Zanol et al, 2020. | ||||||||
