Taxon Notes: | This fouling species is now almost cosmopolitan in distribution in tropical to temperate waters. It is most likely native to the North Atlantic-Mediterranean region but has been accidentally spread by shipping to many other areas. In Australia and New Zealand it has been recorded from most larger port areas. | ||||
