Taxon Notes:	This name has been widely used in the Indo-Pacific, but this species is now regarded as being restricted to brackish water areas in the North Atlantic region. Any records of this species from the Indo-Pacific area need to be re-examined to determine their true identity, See Nikulina, 2008; Gordon, 2009.
Scientific Name Notes:	Current Australasian species previously mis-identified as Electra pilosa include E. lesueuri, E. oligopora and E. scuticifera.
