Expected species depth range is from 327 to 494 m.
Taxon Notes:Originally described from 3 type specimens collected from the upper insular slope of Raoul Island, Kermadec Islands, and the Kermadec Ridge north of Raoul Island, New Zealand (Duffy & Last 2007). Duffy & Last 2015 (NZ fish book chapter, Squalidae) noted depths as 210-500m. Subsequently collected from Derwent Hunter seamount (30 46 S, 156 09 E), Barcoo seamount (32 38 S, 156 17 E) and Taupo seamount (33 20 S, 156 10 E) in Australian zone of Tasman Sea in 327-494m depth.
