Requests from students and graduates for work experience placements

Each year the CSIRO Division of Marine and Atmoshperic Research receives a large number of enquiries from students and scientists worldwide seeking internships and voluntary placements within our research programs. In order to be placed with the Division you must meet certain criteria. To determine your eligibility for consideration, please view the checklist below. Places are limited and only those candidates meeting all the criteria will be considered. If you meet all the criteria for your preferred category of placement you should send your curriculum vitae, and a scanned copy of your formal qualifications, and a covering letter to the Division. You must nominate your research area of interest.

Your request will be processed and only those meeting the eligibility criteria will then be forwarded to the relevant Research Group for consideration. Should you be successful you will receive an email confirming your placement followed by a formal offer of appointment.

CSIRO Post Graduate Scholarships

CSIRO recognises that we need to link with Australian Universities to ensure that we have emerging talent in areas critical to Australia's future success. The aim is to provide enhanced opportunities in science and engineering for up to 50 recent outstanding graduates enrolling at Australian tertiary institutions across the country as full-time students for research leading to the award of a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

The CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarships will provide stipend supplement and operating funds to augment an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) stipend or an equivalent University award for PhD students each year.
