The nationally funded Australian National Fish Collection (formerly the I.S.R. Munro Fish Collection) is managed as a national resource by CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research at its Hobart Laboratories. With an estimated 145,000 specimens its primary role is as a biodiversity reference and research tool.
