Droughty Hill wind readings

The TERSS satellite receiver located on the top of Droughty Hill is no longer operating

and therefore the wind data that was collected as part of its operation is no longer available.

Wind data from Battery Point on the western shore of the Derwent is available from

an anemometer located at the CSIRO Marine Laboratories. This instrument is amongst trees

and therefore should not be relied upon for any application requiring accuracy.

The Bureau of Meteorology also posts regular weather observations from the Hobart area,

including from Hobart, Hobart airport and Mount Wellington.
