Expected species depth range is from 550 to 790 m.
Taxon Notes:Updated from Luciobrotula sp. C (cf bartschi) after reidentification of CSIRO voucher specimen by Peter Møller in 2021. In Australia, only recorded from a few specimens from NW of Cape Leveque (14 36.89 S, 121 19.65 E) to West of Low Point (22 0.40 S, 113 43.72 E), WA in 550-790 m depth. Elsewhere, the species is widespread in the Indo-West Pacific.
