Expected species depth range is from 3 to 8 m.
Taxon Notes:Known to date from seagrass and macroalgae along the coast of Victoria and Tasmania; specimens have been collected from Port Phillip in Victoria, and Great Oyster Bay in Tasmania in 3-8m depth. Underwater photographs suggest it is common throughout much of Port Phillip. It is likely more widespread along the coast of Victoria and Tasmania (Conway et al 2024).
