An overview of the eResearch visualisation service
CSIRO’s eResearch Program has identified visualisation one of several key enabling technologies to help deal with the exponentially increasing data volumes and data complexity affecting all disciplines. The initial focus of the new eResearch Visualisation Service is on the provision of high-end visualisation hardware including ultra-high resolution displays, visualisation workstations and a novel remote visualisation capability. The service will also provide access to partner facilities and offer a package of visualisation tools for use by CSIRO researchers working across many different domains.
