Modelling spatio-temporal trends of forest health monitoring data
We use a generalized additive mixed model combined with scale invariant tensor product smooths of the space-time dimension to provide predicted spatial and temporal trends of forest health. The model accounts for space-time interaction and random temporal correlation. We discuss computational aspects of this complex analysis including model selection and diagnostics.
