Post doc interview skills: advice from senior scientists
There are a number of postgrads and early-career researchers who are beginning the process of finding post-docs, and while our PhD experience has prepared us from a science perspective we could use some work on our interview skills. Several senior scientists with extensive experience on both sides of the interview table have agreed to share their advice and join a discussion at the informal oceanography seminar on Thursday 10 June, 12:30-1:30 in the CSIRO Auditorium. Hear the experiences and advice from senior scientists: Bernadette Sloyan, Malcolm Haddon, Mike Pook, James Risbey, Susan Wijffels, Alan Butler, and Craig Johnson.
Discussion will be focussed around the key interview questions, the recommended strategies for answering these questions, and general advice and discussion about experiences from both an interviewer and interviewee perspective.
All welcome.
