Climate and weather modelling, and impact research at CSIRO Atmospheric Research

The research activities of the Climate and Weather: Applications and Impacts team at CSIRO Atmospheric Research spans climate variability and extremes, weather forecasting, seasonal forecasting, global and regional climate change modelling, regional climate change assessment and impact and adaptation assessment.

The seminar will present highlights of recent research from these areas, focusing particularly on the climate impacts and adaptation area. This will include state and regional projected climate change, risk approaches to impact and adaptation assessment, and the issue of defining dangerous climate change. New research opportunities for CMAR will be discussed.
