The Coastal CRC Coastal Water Habitat Mapping Project

The Cooperative Research Centre for Coastal, Estuary and Waterway Management began a national Coastal Water Habitat Mapping Project in July 2003.This three year Project involves partners across Australia and field programs in the waters of four Australian states. The emphasis is on shallow water sites and on the optimum use and comparison of acoustic, optical and direct sampling techniques. A number of new techniques are under development as is a communication package designed to facilitate ready access to research outputs from the Project.

This seminar will summarise the Project and provide examples of the technique developments so far achieved.
