Australian Integrated Ocean Observing System (AusIOOS) Working Group Final Report PDF[PDF 416kb]
This report presents (1) the rationale for an Australian Integrated Ocean Observing System (AusIOOS), (2) the conceptual design of such a System, (3) options for governance, (4) approaches for evaluating the performance and benefit of the System, and (5) a proposed way forward, including immediate high priority actions. The report is based on the deliberations of a Working Group established by the Oceans Policy Science Advisory Group (OPSAG) to consider options and needs for Australian ocean observations, and to prepare a proposal for an Australian Integrated Ocean Observing System (AusIOOS). In the context of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) call for an Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) it provides useful reference material, but is broader in reach.

Huon Estuary Study: Environmental Research for Integrated Catchment Management and Aquaculture
