Below are links to series of ocenographic maps, one line per geographic region, showing a daily-updating archive of OceanMAPS v4.0i forecasts and analyses, both compared with satellite data, Argo, drifters, gliders, radars and current meters. Quantitative error estimates are given for some data types. For some regions, there are also multi-year archives of BRAN2020 hindcasts.
Plot types (inconsistent naming convention, sorry): tv12 temperature and velocity at 12m, sp1 speed in layer 1 (0-5m), mld mixed layer depth, tp3m tracked particles at 3m, ha1 surface height anomaly (no IB or tide), hna surface height anomaly ('non-tidal', ie with IB), ta1 SST anomaly, sa1 SSS anomaly, sa20 salinity anomaly at 20m.
Date selection Selecting a plot type and region shows the latest available forecast ('fc' column; out to T+6d), OceanMAPS analysis ('an') or BRAN2020 hindcast ('bran'). Navigate time using the PREVious or NEXT buttons, or via the DATE INDEX calendar (where you will also find mp4 animations).
