This table examines how often APF9 firmware floats can be detected from the PLATFORM_MODEL string. Arguably this is not required if that information is only required for Surfac ePressure Offset correction, and the Surface Pressure Offset parameter name has been correctly supplied.
Not APEX: A count of floats which are apparently not APEX. APF9 determination is not relevant for non-APEX floats.
APEX not APF9: The PLATFORM_MODEL field identifies this as an APEX float which is NOT an APF9.
APEX unknown: The PLATFORM_MODEL field identifies this as an APEX float but does not define the firmware version.
APEX APF9: The PLATFORM_MODEL field identifies this as an APEX float which is APF9.
